Course Contract

Cheating

 

You may not collaborate with anyone on any of the exams. You may not use any electronic tools, including phones, netbooks, laptops, desktop computers, etc.

You must collaborate with your assigned partner on the weekly problem sets. You may request help from any staff member on weekly problem sets but you must do so together with your partner. You may not get any help from anyone else on a problem set.

You may not collaborate with anyone on the daily quizzes.

Students caught cheating will be reported to the university's office on academic integrity and punished by the course staff.

  • acknowledge that I have read the General Information and the above advice on cheating
and I agree to
  1. read the required text book every day according to the reading schedule;
  2. work through at least one finger exercise per day from the relevant sections;
  3. look at the course blog once a day no matter where I am;
  4. see my instructor within 24 hours after I have failed a quiz;
  5. meet with my pair-programming partner on the agreed-upon basis;
  6. notify my lab instructor immediately if my current partner doesn't show up (drops out).

In return, I have the right to get advice from one of my instructors within 24 (48 on weekends) hours via an email and/or see my instructor by appointment.
